Each of our employees belongs to a community; many are members of the Carthage, Missouri, community where our corporate headquarters is located. Employee Community Involvement and Giving
bet9 & Platt has a solid track record of acting as a quiet giver in our communities. With focused giving efforts unified through the Corporate Office and branch locations, our contributions include everything from supporting the arts to sponsoring youth athletic teams. We are proud to be the largest donor to the Carthage Area United Way.
In 2011, we created the L&P Partners Helping Partners Fund. The fund, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, helps to support emergency needs of our employees and their immediate families, including medical transportation, housing, or other needs resulting from a catastrophic event or natural disaster.
Our people are our greatest asset. We know that success depends on our employees at all levels investing in themselves. Because of this, bet9 & Platt is committed to employee growth and development. Our Learning and Development Team works to provide numerous opportunities to our employees by serving as internal consultants and content developers. Our learning opportunities range from simple training advice to full eLearning courses.
We're also committed to developing bet9's leaders. With a renewed focus on engaging and retaining our top talent, we've developed a two-part leadership development strategy that includes opportunities for senior leaders and the Emerging Leader Academy for a larger population of bet9's future leaders.
We are dedicated to the safety and welfare of all employees. The Risk Management Department is available to assist bet9 branches with employee safety matters. We're fostering a culture in which our partners are protecting other partners, both on and off the job, every day. We use employee education, awareness, and prevention to reduce and prevent workplace injuries. Our SafeGuard Program allows us to identify, track, and reduce hazards at our worksites. Diligent accident investigation and process safety, combined with the support of every bet9 employee, have yielded a significant decrease in accident rates over the last several years. In addition, safety performance is a component of the annual bonus for all operations managers. We are committed to helping our employees across the globe return home safely each day.
